Art For Africa

A special evening called Art for Africa will be held at Sotheby’s, New Bond Street on 21 September 2009.
It will be an opportunity for buyers and collectors to acquire works of art given by some of Britain and South Africa’s best contemporary artists to support the charity Africa Foundation.
Africa Foundation works at restoring and conserving beautiful wilderness areas and crutially, helps the African people who live in remote and impoverished areas with healthcare, education and income generation.
The exhibition is open to the public and viewing is from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm weekdays. Closed Saturday and 12 pm – 5 pm on Sunday.

Design Auction at Phillips de Pury, London

On the 26 September, 2009 the auction house will stage Now, a unique sale featuring many artists who have never before sold at auction.
This is an extensive collection of 291 mixed pieces including prints, photographs, furniture and paintings made since 2000, some pieces are even brand new.
Items will be available to view at Phillips de Pury between the 10 – 15 October at Howick Place, London SW1P 1BB, before the auction itself at 5 pm on the 15 October.
